1954 Dodge Job Rated Stepside Pickup

This is a recent import from Southern California

The motor starts first time and runs well

It is fitted with Block Hugger Headers and Dual Stainless Exhausts

No oil/water leaks anywhere

The Trans works as it should with no leaks

There is NO ROT anywhere on this pickup except for the lower edge of both doors which would be easy to repair.  The rest of the truck is in an amazing condition bearing in mind it is 51 years old.  The paint is very thin in places which is the reason I cannot keep it as it would have to winter outside.

The white patches in the photos are not rot filled holds, they are where the previous owner in the states covered bare metal with primer.

The windscreen is cracked as is the drivers door glass.  I have contacted a specialist American Glass Company and the glass is not problem to obtain.   The screen is still available but I did not get a cost on it.  I can pass on this company's number to anyone interested.

The interior is ok, it has a recently redone bench seat.  The dash is ok except  the oil pressure and water temp gauges would need refurbishing but there are 3 after market gauges fitted anyway.

All of the panels forward of the cab unbolt from the frame.  The bed consists of wings, sides and front tailgate which all unbolt.  The bed has an oak floor but some boards may need replacing (the oak is covered in manky ply at the moment).

The brakes work ok but the master cylinder is sticking a bit.  The handbrake has never been connected but everything in the rear axle is working and free.

This pickup would make a great and unusual Rod Truck and really only needs a paint and tidy up

As stated 100% guaranteed rot free other than a little on the doors.
