With over thirty years of experience as an inventor, pioneer, and racer, Frank Lupo, owner of Dynamic Converters and Pro-Formance Transmissions undoubtedly has one of the most prolific careers in the high performance automatic transmission business.

Frank built his first transmission at the age of fifteen at the family business, Fairbanks Racing Automatics in Stamford, Connecticut, and owned and raced his first race car at age sixteen.

7" Race

Dual anti-ballooning plates, hand made steel stator, triple bearing package, full furnace brazing, all fins are hand welded for extra reinforcement, bullet-proof sprag, great for low torque, high RPM, Comp Eliminator and Super Stock Applications, nitrous oxide and trans-brake capable.

Approximate Stall Speed Range - 6000-9000 RPM

Available for - TF904, TF727, TH400, TH350, TH200, PG, C-4 and C-6

8" Race

Dual anti-ballooning plates, triple bearing package full furnace brazing, all fins hand welded for extra reinforcement, available with cast aluminium, billet aluminium, or steel stator. Also available with various sprag assemblies or a mechanical diode, the "Industry Standard" for race converters. Nitrous oxide and trans- brake capable.

Approximate Stall Speed Range - 4000- 6500 RPM

Available for - TF904, TF727, TH400, TH350, TH200, PG, C-4, and C-6

8" Sportsman Race

Dual anti-ballooning plates, triple bearing package, full furnace brazing, all fins hand welded for extra reinforcement, available with cast aluminium, billet aluminium, or steel stator. Also available with various sprag assemblies or a mechanical diode. Nitrous oxide and trans brake capable. Available with standard or lightweight front cover, a lower cost alternative to traditional 8" converters, great for bracket applications.

Approximate Stall Speed Range - 4000- 6500 RPM

Available for - TF904, TF727, TH400, TH350, TH200, PG, C-4, and C-6.

9" Race

Dual anti-ballooning (where applicable), triple bearing package, full furnace brazing, all fins hand welded for extra reinforcement. Available with cast aluminium, billet aluminium, or steel stator along with various sprags or a mechanical diode. Great for big cubic inch, big nitrous shot in heavy cars. These are "true" J style 9" converters. Nitrous oxide and trans brake capable.

Approximate Stall Speed Range - 4000-6500

Available for - TF727, TH400, TH350, TH200, PG, C-4, and C-6.

 9 1/2" Race/Street

Dual anti-ballooning plates (where applicable), triple bearing package, full furnace brazing, all fins are hand welded for extra reinforcement, bullet-proof sprag and stator design great for bracket cars or serious street cars. Super efficient.

Approximate Stall Speed Range - 3500-6500 RPM

Available for - TF904, TF727, TH400, TH350, PG, C-4, and C-6

  10" Extreme Duty

Dual anti-ballooning plates, full furnace brazing all fins hand welded for extra reinforcement, available with billet aluminium or steel stator. It is also available with our best sprag assembly or mechanical diode. This converter is best in tractor pullers or big inch, big nitrous 1000 HP plus applications.

Approximate Stall Speed Range - 3000-4500 RPM

Available for - TF727, TH400, TH350, PG, C-4, and C-6

10" Race

Anti-ballooning plate on front cover, full furnace brazing, all fins hand welded for extra reinforcement. Triple bearing package, cryogenically treated sprag (some applications). Excellent for street cars and some bracket applications. Nitrous oxide capable.

Approx. Stall Speed Range - 2800-3800 RPM

10" Street

Anti-ballooning plate on front cover, triple bearing package, all fins hand welded for extra reinforcement, great for street rods and non-nitrous street machines

11" Race

Full furnace brazing, fins are all hand welded for extra reinforcement, dual bearing package. Uses largest sprag available per application. Great in mild street/ bracket cars. Nitrous oxide capable.

Approximate Stall Speed Range - 2600-3400 RPM

11" Street

All fins are heli-arc welded for reinforcement, Torrington bearing in high load pump area. Great for street rods and non-nitrous street machines with mild camshafts

Approximate Stall Speed Range - 2600-3200 RPM

Available for - TF904, TF727, TH400, TH 350, PG, 2004R N/LU, 700R4 NL/U, C-4, C-6, AOD L/U, AOD NL/U

12" Street

All fins are heli-arc welded for reinforcement, stall speed raised to maximum. Great for applications needing approximately 500 RPM over stock.

Approximate Stall Speed Range - 2000-2600 RPM

12" RV/Towing

All fins are heli-arc welded for extra reinforcement, stall speed modified for maximum efficiency and gas mileage. Great for motor homes and towing applications.

Approximate Stall Speed Range - 1200-1800 RPM 

Available for - TF727, TH400, TH350, PG, 2004R N/LU, 700R4 NL/U, 700R4 L/U, C-4, C-6, AOD L/U, AOD NL/U

     13" Street

All fins are heli-arc welded for extra reinforcement, stall speed is raised to maximum. Great for applications needing approximately 500 RPM over stock.

Approximate Stall Speed Range - 1800-2600 RPM 

Available for - TH400, C-6

13" RV/Towing

All fins are heli-arc welded for extra reinforcement, stall speed is modified for maximum efficiency and gas mileage. Great for RV's, Motor homes, and Towing applications.

Approximate Stall Speed Range - 1200-1600 RPM

Pro-Formance Transmissions

Torque Flite 727 or 904

 

Street/Strip - Automatic shifting. Features a reprogrammed valve body for firmer shifts. 5.0 ratio kickdown lever. Heavy-duty low/reverse spring. Includes hi-performance bands and clutches. Great for street cars needing auto-shifting capabilities.

Competition (manual shift) - Full manual forward or reverse pattern operation. 5.0 ratio kickdown lever. Heavy-duty low/reverse spring. Includes hi-performance bands and clutches. Relocated vent system.

Competition with Trans-Brake - Full manual reverse pattern with trans-brake operation. Aluminium (5) five clutch high drum, rollerized 4-pinion planetary, billet low/reverse servo piston and heavy-duty spring. Also features hi-performance bands and clutches, roller output shaft support, bolt in sprag and a relocated vent system.

Options - Rollerized planetary assembly, bolt in sprag, roller output shaft support, aluminium high drum, 2.77 1st gear planetary, deep chrome pan and trans-brake.

C-4

 

Street/Strip - Automatic shifting. Features a reprogrammed valve body for firmer shifts. Fully blueprinted, adjustable modulator and also comes with high performance bands and clutches. Great for street cars needing auto-shifting capabilities

Competition (manual shift) - Full manual forward or reverse pattern operation. Also features a billet aluminium servo cover, 5 clutch high drum, high performance bands and clutches.

Competition with Trans-Brake - Full manual reverse pattern with trans-brake operation. Hardened input shaft, solid filled forward drum, rollerized planetary, billet servo cover, deep pan, reinforced low/reverse servo cover, (5) five clutch high drum, high performance bands and clutches.

Options - Hardened input shaft, solid filled forward drum, rollerized planetary, 2.75 1st gear planetary, SFI approved bell-housing, deep pan (steel or aluminium) and trans-brake.

C-6

 

Street/Strip - Automatic shifting. Features a reprogrammed valve body for firmer shifts. Fully blueprinted, adjustable modulator and also features a high performance band and clutches. Great for street cars needing auto-shifting capabilities.

Competition (manual shift) - Full manual forward or reverse pattern operation. Also features a special server and assembly, (5) five clutch high drum, high performance band and clutches.

Competition with Trans-Brake - Full manual reverse pattern with trans-brake operation. Billet servo cover, billet servo and high ratio lever, (5) five clutch high drum, high performance band and clutches

Options - Billet servo cover, billet servo piston, high ratio lever, rollerized planetary, 2.75 1st gear planetary and trans-brake.

TH-200

Competition - Full manual forward or reverse pattern operation. Special case and servo modifications. Also features a 2.77 1st gear ratio, rollerized low drag planetary, deep pan, high performance intermediate band and clutches.

Options "Special note" - The TH-200 is now available as a retrofit to use with either a TH350, TH400 or Powerglide converters with no modifications. Bolts right in!

TH-350

Street/Strip - Automatic shifting. Features a reprogrammed valve body for firmer shifts, (5) five clutch high drum, heavy-duty sprag and adjustable vacuum modulator.

Competition (manual shift) - Full manual forward or reverse pattern operation. Also features a (5) five clutch high drum, hardened intermediate outer sprag race and high performance clutches.

Competition with Trans-Brake - Full manual reverse pattern with trans-brake operation. Features a hardened intermediate outer sprag race, (5) five clutch high drum, rollerized planetary assembly and high performance clutches.

Options - 2.75 1st gear, lightweight output shaft and annulus assembly, rollerized planetary assembly, hardened intermediate outer sprag race, aluminium high drum and forward drum, Powerglide spline input shaft, heavy-duty sprag assembly, deep aluminium pan and trans-brake.

TH-400

Street/Strip - Automatic shifting. Features a reprogrammed valve body for firmer shifts, fully blue printed, adjustable modulator and high performance clutches. Great for street cars needing auto-shifting capabilities.

Competition (manual shift) - Full manual forward or reverse pattern operation. Also features a (5) five or (6) six clutch high drum, 36 element sprag assembly, needle bearing in rear of case and high performance clutches.

Competition with Trans-Brake - Full manual reverse pattern with trans-brake operation. Features a (6) clutch high drum, 36 element sprag assembly, needle bearing in rear of case, bearing in front planetary, deep steel pan and high performance clutches.

Options - 36-element sprag assembly, 2.75 1st gear, aluminium high drum, aluminium pan, trans-brake, special input shaft and drum.

Powerglide

Street/Strip - Automatic shifting. Features a reprogrammed valve body for firmer shifts, fully blueprinted and 1.82 1st gear.
 

Competition (manual shift) - Full manual forward or reverse pattern operation. Also features a (5) five or (6) six clutch high drum, aluminium or steel clutch hub, universal shifter arm, high performance band and clutches. 1.82 and 1.76 gear ratio available.

Competition with Trans-Brake - Full manual forward pattern with trans-brake operation. Features a (6) six clutch high drum, steel clutch hub, hardened input shaft (Powerglide or Turbo spline), pro-tree or bracket brake assembly, universal shifter arm, dual ring servo assembly, high performance band and clutches. 1.76 first gear.

Options - Vasco, Superset or heavy duty gear set, dual ring servo, vasco input shaft, aluminium or steel hub, (7) seven clutch high drum, pump roller bearing, deep aluminium pan, electric shift, shorty kits, special tail housings, roller support, special pumps, SFI bell-housings and cases (Dedenbear or J.W.). Available first gear ratios: 1.68, 1.76, 1.82, 1.89, 1.94, 1.96, 1.98, 2.03, 2.08, 2.11 and 2.18
